I was connected to the Centro de Los Derechos del Migrante (CDM) through the volunteer-based website Catchafire. The organization defends and protects Mexican migrant workers' rights as they move between their home communities in Mexico and their workplaces in the United States. While hundreds of thousands of workers come to the U.S. under work programs, flaws within the program facilitate conditions of exploitation and forced labor.
These infographics help introduce allies, lawmakers, and supporters to the main issues faced by migrant workers in the state of Maryland to raise awareness and build support.
